Half your enquiries arrive the morning after bad weather and every one of them wants a price today. Forward them and the replies are waiting when you come down.

What lands on you

  • A storm-damage enquiry answered the same morning, with a day you can get there.

  • Supplier receipts read and the VAT logged while your scaffold is still up.

  • Missed calls answered, so the next name on their list is not the one who gets your work.

Tiles off after last night

Morning. The wind last night has had three or four tiles off the back of the house and there's a damp patch coming through the landing ceiling. More rain forecast Thursday. Can you get out before then?

Re: Tiles off after last night

Hi Paul, Sorry to hear it — you're not the only one this week. A damp patch showing already means water is getting past the felt, so it's worth covering before Thursday rather than waiting on a full repair. I can come Tuesday afternoon, sheet it over the same day, and price the tiles properly once I can see how far the damage runs. The visit and the temporary cover is £95. Shall I put you down for Tuesday? Col Braithwaite Roofing
